Most Memorable Moment From The Military
I was in the control tower which also overlooked the harbor at San Clemente Island. A boat had stalled and eventually capsized. I was part of the rescue team since the island was so small. We were able to save 2 of the 3 people aboard the vessel. I received a commendation from the Admiral of the Pacific Fleet.
Number one reason learned while serving:
I learned resiliency more than anything else. I learned that never quit attitude. I learned adapt, adjust, and overcome.
What was your inspiration for serving:
This isn’t a pretty answer of I wanted to serve my country. I really wanted to get out of poverty and change the legacy of my family.
Current civilian job:
I am a trauma therapist/business owner, author, and podcaster.
