Leadership
Who runs the STL BWH Organization?
The St. Louis Blues Warrior Hockey program is run by a team of dedicated volunteers, many of whom are veterans themselves or have connections to the military.
Leadership within the program includes a mix of team captains, skaters, coaches, alumni, and administrative staff who work together to organize practices, games, tournaments, and community outreach events. Our leaders focus on creating a positive and supportive environment for our veterans involved, ensuring they have the tools and resources needed to participate fully and benefit from the experience.
We are each passionate about supporting veterans and growing the sport within the military community.

Our Founders
The St. Louis Blues Warrior Hockey program proudly acknowledges and expresses our deepest gratitude to our visionary founders: Nathan Laupp, Steve Hejna, Emily Hejna, and Brad Collins. In 2020, their shared passion and unwavering commitment laid the foundation for what has become one of the most impactful and successful Warrior hockey programs nationwide.
Their foresight and dedication in establishing this organization have created a vital community for veterans, providing invaluable support both on and off the ice. Thanks to their tireless efforts, the Blues Warriors have grown exponentially, now serving over 150 veterans. Their leadership has not only fostered a strong sense of camaraderie and healing but has also exemplified the power of sport to transform lives.
Nathan, Steve, Emily, and Brad, your dedication to serving our country and to others who have served is truly inspiring. The entire St. Louis Blues Warrior Hockey family is profoundly thankful for your foundational work, which has enabled us to build a program we all cherish. Your legacy will continue to empower and support veterans for years to come. We are forever indebted to your vision and dedication.
